I started this new blog project yesterday and so far its going well. The entire thing is built from the ground up, no template or pre-existing structure. The design is intentionally simple and basic inspired by the old blogs I used to love like “the day after you die” (which unfortunately is now gone.) But back in 2010ish whoever was running that one had impeccable taste.
Uploading images and updating this blog is a bit of work, theres no simple interface where you just select whatever photos you want to post and you’re done like modern social media platforms. With this, I have to manually select, process and upload each image and then add them to the code of each post, (which can’t be done directly from a phone btw) but it kind of makes the process a bit more intentional and gives me the freedom to adjust or customize everything myself.
